Phillip Mills – World & Olympic Figure Skating Choreographer – A New Website!
He has had more than 25 U.S. National Champions in singles, pairs,and dance. He has also been a faculty member for Team USA Camps, U.S. Figure Skating Coaches College and numerous U.S.Figure Skating Judges Schools. This involvement has kept Phillip Mills tuned into the continued and growing changes in figure skating.
He has choreographed for many top skaters including:
Tatsuki Machida, Ashely Wagner, Courtney Hicks, Sasha Cohen, Michelle Kwan, Becky Bereswill, Rena Inoue & John Baldwin, Nicole Rajicova, Elaine Zayak, Jill Trenary, Susie Wynne & Joe Druar, Calla Urbanski & Rocky Marval, Renee Roca & Donald Adair, Andrew Gonzales, Kyoko Ina & Jason Dungjen, Sean Cavillo, Andrea Gardiner, and Deanna Stellato.
His new website includes an Updates section with links to articles on the results of current skaters he choreographs for; Articles on his path to becoming an elite figure skating choreographer and his views on various components of choreography; Blogs and Media articles on his work with great skaters like Michelle Kwan.
Getting the Edge is Phillip’s Blog with posts he hopes will inform, inspire and educate you about figure skating and how it enriches our lives.
The Section Phillip’s Story, is where you will learn more on his career travels from his start as a high school gymnast; then adding ballet to enhance his gymnastic skills which then resulted in a full scholarship to the American Ballet Theatre, to be followed by his joining a European Ballet Company.
Finally, read the front page article “The Lore of Ice Castle Int’l Training Center”. Here you will learn that it was Carlo Fassi who convinced Phillip to use his ballet knowledge to become a top flight figure skating choreographer.
